Application Guide

Textile equipment places emphasis on smooth running, repeatable speed and low vibration. Spinning, winding and weaving machinery can operate for long periods, so pulley alignment, belt condition and the suitability of the selected diameter at the operating speed deserve more attention than appearance alone.

Textile machinery places emphasis on stable running, repeatable replacement dimensions and controlled vibration. If SPA is the existing 12.7 × 10 mm section, retain the profile and select diameter, groove count and shaft interface from the actual machine speed and operating schedule.

Selection factors that matter in this application

Speed stability

Choose pitch diameter from the required ratio and verify the actual operating rpm.

Vibration

Include operating speed and any balance requirement in the RFQ, especially for large pulleys.

Noise

Correct alignment and matched belts are as important as pulley geometry.

Maintenance access

Taper-bush mounting can reduce replacement work when the shaft interface is correctly identified.

EP-SPA 112-03, EP-SPA 140-04 and EP-SPA 160-05 can anchor a textile-machinery enquiry. The ordered configuration still needs confirmation against driver speed, driven speed, belt capacity, shaft dimensions, alignment requirements and access for maintenance.

Installation and maintenance checks

If an existing textile drive develops vibration, check belt tension, pulley alignment, shaft/bush seating and bearing condition before replacing components independently.

Pulley alignment Check axial and angular alignment before final belt tensioning.
Belt condition Inspect the full matched belt set; replace damaged or badly worn belts together when required by the machine maintenance plan.
Taper-bush seating Confirm the bush is fully and evenly seated and that the shaft/key arrangement matches the selected bore.
Guard clearance Verify outside diameter and overall width before closing the machine guard.
After commissioning Recheck tracking, tension and any unusual heat, noise or vibration after the initial run.
