Italy has a strong base in textile, packaging, woodworking, food-processing and general machinery. European narrow V-belt profiles are therefore common in both OEM and replacement work, and technical documentation is important when a pulley must fit an existing machine without changing the surrounding drive.
Include the machine function, shaft fit, required belt profile and any drawing or inspection note. If the pulley is part of a compact packaging or woodworking machine, axial dimensions can be just as important as pitch diameter.

Industries and buyer priorities in Italy
| Industry | Typical belt-drive context | RFQ emphasis |
|---|---|---|
| Textile machinery | Spinning, weaving and warping | High-speed stability, low vibration |
| Packaging machinery | Main and auxiliary packaging-line drives | Compact fit, accurate interface |
| Agricultural machinery | Sprayers, seeders and harvesting equipment | Outdoor service, multi-groove drives |
| Woodworking | CNC and auxiliary spindle drives | Accuracy, serviceable mounting |
| Food-processing machinery | Pasta, oil-processing and packaging auxiliaries | Cleaning context, maintenance access |
| Pumps & compressors | Industrial pump and compressor drives | Multi-groove large diameters |
| Printing machinery | Offset and flexographic auxiliaries | Precision and low vibration |
Terminology and standards context
Use the European SP profile code from the machine drawing and provide the required documentation language or drawing format in the enquiry when that is important to the project.
Replacement workflow
1. Confirm the belt section
Read the marking on the existing belt or machine drawing. SPA, SPZ, SPB and SPC use different groove geometries.
2. Confirm the required ratio
Use the pitch/datum diameters, not the outside diameters, when checking driver and driven speed.
3. Choose the groove count
The groove count affects power capacity, axial width and the number of matched belts in the drive.
4. Match the shaft interface
Check shaft diameter, keyway and the recommended taper-bush designation for the exact row.
5. Check the machine envelope
Compare outside diameter and axial dimensions with the guard, bearings and adjacent components.
6. Record the RFQ details
Send the model or measurements, speeds, shaft, application and any drawing/replacement reference.
Documentation to prepare before enquiry
Prepare a dimensional RFQ
Send the model or measurements, shaft diameter, speed data, application, quantity and destination to [email protected].
