A pulley code is useful only when each part of the code is tied to a physical decision. Take EP-SPA 200-04. “EP-” is the EVER POWER display prefix. “SPA” identifies the narrow V-belt profile, “200” is the catalogue pitch/datum diameter in millimetres, and “04” means four grooves.
Profile comes first
SPA, SPZ, SPB and SPC are different groove families. A belt that looks close in width is not enough evidence of a match. Confirm the belt marking or measure the old component against the relevant groove standard before replacement.
Use P for ratio calculations
The model number uses the catalogue pitch/datum diameter, not the outside diameter. For EP-SPA 200-04, P = 200 mm and O = 205.5 mm. That distinction matters when calculating shaft speed.
Groove count and bush
The final two digits give the number of grooves. More grooves increase axial width and change the hub/bush arrangement. The corresponding model table gives the taper bush and maximum bore; do not infer those values from another diameter.

Replacement checklist
Record the old marking, belt section, number of grooves, shaft diameter and both available pulley diameters. If the old marking is unreadable, include clear front and side photos. Those details are normally enough to narrow the catalogue before a drawing review.
